Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein is a drama serial that starts with Sai Joshi, an outspoken girl from Gadchiroli who wants to join Nagpur Medical College to pursue her MBBS. Virat Chavan is appointed as an officer at Nagpur and sent to Gadchiroli. Sai resides in Gadchiroli with her father, Inspector Kamal Joshi. Jagtap, the son of a local politician, develops a one-sided crush on Sai and bullies her. To wed Sai, Jagtap attempts to assassinate Kamal. Sai asks her father to retire and move to Nagpur once she passes the exam. Virat accepts the job in Gadchiroli. Sai dislikes Virat after his automobile throws mud on her. Virat also requests that Kamal postpone his VRS on stage. Sai becomes irate when Kamal obeys the order of Virat, his superior officer.

Although the Chavan family chooses Pakhi to be Samrat’s wife, Virat and Pakhi fall in love with one another. Virat promised Pakhi that he wouldn’t give her position to any other girl when Pakhi marries Samrat and stays with him.
